AT FIRST LIGHT - FRENCH (UK) & MURDOCH STAFFORD

Friday the 13th August is a very fitting date for these two illustrators. Back in the original Nine Lives Space where it all started in the heat of summer 2008 plays host to a man we have grown very fond of since hosting French as our very first solo show in Nine Lives Gallery.

At first light
...Fires of the enemy dead will burn bright
If in mourning they choose we die
Zero hour at first light

The waiting time is over
No final night before
Once more into action
Embrace the storm. Oncoming for all

At the edge
Allegiances
Now pledged... forever

Orders - unquestionable
All rank and file expendable

The frozen dawn emerges
Let the battle now commence
None surrendered through last night

MURDOCH STAFFORD

Murdoch is a self taught artist hailing from Brisbane, Australia. It's hot and there's not a lot going on but it's perfect for locking yourself inside with beer, Poison Idea records and a handful of pens. Chained to his desk he whips up record covers, t-shirts, posters and flyers for punk and hardcore bands. Without coffee he is nothing.
